I'll Be More Prepared Next Time, Cebu.
So I spent 5 days in Cebu. Nothing much to show and tell because Jade and I hardly went anywhere. We would have visited Bohol if only we had the dough. But since funds were limited, it was malls and foodtrip for us. Stated below are the highlights...
Day one was Lemon Grass. Spicy Beef Soup and an order of Roasted Pork. The Bagoong Rice wasn't bad, too. When you're there, also try their Spring Rolls.
Day two, Gerry's Grill. Met up with my grandma, she picked the place. Ordered Beef Karekare, Sizzling Squid, Sinigang na Hipon, and Bicol Express [which my lola thought was ok for a Bicol Express not in Bicol]. Before that, breakfast at Chicken Butterfly [eat-with-your-hands-style, serving fried chicken and ngohiong].
Day three, it was raining. Had dangsilog for breakfast before heading to BTC to buy groceries and deciding to stay home and watch movies.
Day four, breakfast buffet at I.T. Park's Tara's Cafe for a measly Php170. Goddamn, more dinuguan and puto PLEASE! Also worth mentioning is the Jollibee in the same area. I'd highly recommend eating there if and only if Bubbles is your cashier. He's a friendly cashier who gives a nice spin to the otherwise mundane process of ordering your fastfood meals. Here's how ours went:
B: HELLO! And WELCOME to JOLLIBEE! Can I take your order?
Us: One Extra Large Fries, please. And extra mayo.
B: That's it?
Us: Uh, yeah...
B: WHY?!
Us: Uh.
B: Ok, your total is 75 pesos.
[we reach for the money and hand it over]
B: Aaa~nd I received money from your lucky wallet!
Yeah. Worth the fries. Lol.
Day five, slept in. Had a quick lunch at Shakey's [because we haven't had Shakey's in ages], and waited out the hours at Seattle's Best [for free wifi].
Then, I had to go. =( Next time I'm staying at Cebu for a week, I'd better have money. Demmit, we missed going to the beach, for crying out loud!
